I've always been frustrated by people who put too much emphasis on overseas missions at the expense of local needs. People sometimes forget the lost people in our backyards who we actually can approach in much the same way we would approach someone in the Middle East or Africa. The still need the Gospel and it's still our job to bring it.
So I am committing myself to full-time missions right here. It's still in the beginning stages, but if I'm going to stay local like I've always felt called to do, then I need to start making an impact and stop pretending that I have an excuse.
So as I start a new year of teaching, I feel like it's as good a time as any to myself in a different mindset...why not?
Lord, give me guidance and direction on where to go. Give me courage when opportunities present themselves. Keep me focused on prayer and humility. Be my constant thought and vision. Never let me loose sight of my goal. I give my life to You trusting that You will change it and make it the way You want it. You have a plan and a purpose for my life that I know You will make happen. I do not doubt You power; help me trust in it only. You are so good! Thank You for Your provision. Let tomorrow be a great day!!
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
